Nigel Williams-Goss scored a game-high 28 points and Gavin Schilling added 14 points Saturday night to help No. 1-ranked Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.) hold off La Lumiere (La Porte, Ind.) for the 'Iolani Prep Classic Championship.

Findlay Prep, with six players already signed to major NCAA Division I programs like Indiana, UCLA, UNLV, Washington, Auburn and Mississippi, are ranked No. 1 in USA Today's Super 25 and were making their first visit to Hawai'i.

The Pilots led 31-23 at halftime but the Lakers opened the third period with a 10-2 run to tie it at 33-33 on Detrick Mostella's 3-pointer from the top of the key. Findlay Prep responded with a 10-4 run to take a 43-37 lead into the fourth.

La Lumiere eventually cut it to 51-49 after Jalen James' scooping layup off a drive with 1:57 remaining, but Williams-Goss hit a floater one minute later and Findlay Prep got four straight free throws from Allerik Freeman and Williams-Goss to push the lead to 57-49 with 32 seconds left.

After a quick basket by the Lakers, Williams-Goss essentially sealed the victory with a pair of free throws with 23.7 seconds remaining. Williams-Goss finished the game with 11 free throws in 12 attempts.

Mostella and James each scored 18 points to lead La Lumiere.

Williams-Goss, a 6-foot-4 point guard who has signed with Washington, was named the tournament's Most Valuable Player. Mostella, a 6-3 guard who put on a spectacular show while winning Friday night's dunk contest, was named Most Outstanding Player.
